Lenka Della-Porta ‘someone somewhere’ 2025 Original piece, charcoal on board
Lenka Della-Porta is a visual artist based in east London, specialising in illustration and design. Growing up between British and Japanese culture, her drawings curate a visual diary of fragmented moments that have shaped her identity. They stand as a personal archive, physically and visually preserved. Loosely taking form of self portraits, her work examines human emotion and observation from her surroundings.
Her work is reflective and personal, delicately refined, lending itself to the meditative time spent creating her illustrations. The paper is saturated with motifs, characters and worlds that visualise her dual exposure to subculture, media and language. This duality challenges the differences and similarities in her experiences, exploring childhood and adulthood, truth and secrecy, belonging and displacement.
